When you’re knee-deep in X-Isle and that basic rifle feels like it’s firing spitballs at a Goliath ARC, you know it’s time to step up your game. Better weapons mean better blueprints, and while it might seem like pure luck, it’s really about knowing where to look. The trick is thinking like someone who actually lived in this world—where would they stash the good stuff? I’ve found some of my best gear tucked away in locked security offices, hidden captain’s cabins on downed orbital freighters, or behind sealed maintenance doors deep underground. Sometimes it’s about spotting that weak wall and blowing it open. And yeah, if you’re serious about gearing up, having a stash of ARC Raiders Coins on hand doesn’t hurt either.

One thing I’ve learned—always check above and below. Walk into a comms tower or a processing plant and most folks just clear the ground floor. Big mistake. Gantries, catwalks, rooftop corners… devs love hiding rare loot where lazy players won’t bother to climb. Same goes for basements, flooded tunnels, or service hatches you can drop into. I once found a crate sitting in knee-deep water under a collapsed stairwell—no enemies, just a blueprint that changed my entire loadout. If you’re not poking around every vertical inch, you’re leaving loot behind.

Planning your run makes a huge difference too. Before you even drop in, scan the map and mark spots that look promising but sit off the main routes. Those edge-of-the-map locations? Gold mines. Fewer squads mean you get time to search without someone breathing down your neck. And don’t just stick to buildings. Some of the rarest finds I’ve had were in spots you’d walk right past—like a cave hidden behind a waterfall, or the wreckage from a brutal ARC fight. If you stumble onto a cluster of high-tier dead bots, take a minute. That fight probably happened over something worth grabbing.

The real secret is learning to read the environment like a story. Every broken door, scorch mark, or pile of debris tells you something. Maybe a squad fought hard to protect a stash. Maybe a worker hid their tools before everything went sideways. When you start thinking like that, you’ll notice loot in places you never thought to check. And when you finally crack open that crate and see a weapon blueprint you’ve been chasing for weeks, it’s worth every second. Stack those wins, build that arsenal, and maybe keep a few Raider Tokens ready for the next big upgrade.
